577.510. Director of revenue to suspend or revoke license, when--hardship driving privileges may be granted, procedure--temporary instruction permits allowed, when

Upon receipt of a court order suspending or revoking the driving privileges of a person pursuant to sections 577.500 and 577.505, the director of revenue shall suspend the driving privileges for ninety days or revoke the driving privileges of such person for a period of one year, provided however, that in the case of a person who at the time of the offense was less than sixteen years of age, the period of suspension or revocation shall commence on that person's sixteenth birthday. The provisions of chapter 302, RSMo, to the contrary notwithstanding, the suspension or revocation shall be imposed without further hearing. Any person whose driving privileges have been suspended or revoked pursuant to sections 577.500 and 577.505 may petition the circuit court for a hardship driving privilege and said application shall be determined and administered in the same manner as allowed in section 302.309, RSMo.
2. The director of revenue shall permit the issuance of a temporary instruction permit in the same manner as allowed in subsection 2 of section 302.130, RSMo, to persons fifteen years of age and under seventeen years of age denied driving privileges by court order pursuant to section 577.500. This exception only applies to instruction permits that entitle a person to operate a motor vehicle on the highways in the presence of an authorized instructor.
